Australia Nicotine Ban Delayed Until 1 January 2021

June 29, 2020 1 min read

We are now able to process all nicotine e-juice orders to Australia!

The Australian government previously proposed a ban on the importation of liquid nicotine (salt and freebase form).

Under the new rules, vapers who wish to import nicotine would require a doctor’s prescription from 1 July 2020. Anyone caught in breach of the prohibition could face a fine of up to $222,000.

One week after his initial announcement, the Minister for Health, Greg Hunt, has delayed the ban until 1 January 2021.

Meanwhile, the Therapeutic Goods Administration will conduct a formal review of the classification of nicotine.

Your voices, petitions and lobbying has helped overturn this rash decision and hasty prohibition deadline.

While this is by no means the end of the fight for vapers’ rights in Australia, we are thrilled to be able to resume operations and service those vaping across the ditch.

Pop Shots will be monitoring the developments over the coming months and will continue to support our Australian customers and their right to vape.

You can keep an eye of our Facebook page for updates from us.

Thank you to all our loyal and amazing Aussie customers!
